The SCENAR [or more simply ENAR] was developed in Russia, which sits midway between East and West and is open to the innovations of both. Combining Western electrical biofeedback with Eastern energy medicine, its technology was a product of the space race. Both Eastern and Western physicists were encouraged to develop energy medicine under their government's umbrellas, as massive funding was poured into equipment for the Russian space programs. Astronauts and cosmonauts could not take along pharmaceuticals for every possible malady due to restricted storage space. Another form of treatment was needed, prompting the development of energetic medicine and biofeedback systems for healing.

The technology for the SCENAR was developed by a team of Russian doctors and scientists at Sochi University in the late 1970s. The team sought a method of treatment that was energy-efficient, portable, non-invasive, and circumvented the space flight problem of toxic waste storage. The solution they devised was a repeatable therapeutic treatment using electrical signals to stimulate the immune system, the body's own healer.

How Does It Work?
The treatment involves placing the SCENAR directly on the skin and moving it over relevant areas of the body. Computerized impulses send information about pathology to the brain, which responds by activating biochemical recovery mechanisms. The SCENAR interrupts repetitive nerve signals that cause dysfunction and replaces them with signals that prompt the body to actually repair itself. The device itself does not heal the body, but rather alerts the body to mobilize its own healing forces.

By releasing endorphins and other neuropeptides (chemicals produced and released in the brain) the body begins undertaking the task of self-recovery. Clients can experience rapid restoration of functions previously lost to pain and illness.

Acute conditions often resolve after only one to three treatments; chronic problems may require 5 to 15. During treatment, recipients may feel gentle tingling sensations and often experience a sense of well being as the SCENAR clears the nervous system and reopens blocked nerve pathways. The body continues to heal itself once neural pathways are reopened, so effects are usually lasting.

SCENAR Therapy stimulates the nervous system, it is able to teach the body to heal itself. The device sends out a series of signals through the skin and measures the response. Each signal is only sent out when a change in response to the previous signal is recorded in the electrical properties of the skin.

The body can get accustomed to a stable pathological state, which may have been caused by injury, disease or toxicity. The C-fibers, which comprise 85% of all nerves in the body, react most readily to the electro-stimulation and are responsible for the production of neuro-peptides and other regulatory peptides. The SCENAR catalyses the process to produce regulatory peptides by stimulation of C-fibers for the body to use where they are necessary. It is these neuro-peptides that in turn re-establish the body's natural physiological state and are responsible for the healing process. As these peptides last up to several hours, the healing process will continue long after the treatment is over. The large quantity of neuro-peptides and C-fibers in the Central Nervous System can also result in the treatment on one area aiding with other chemical imbalances, correcting sleeplessness, appetite and behavioral problems.

Before A Session:

Alcohol and recreational drugs should be avoided 24 hours before and after treatment. The length of an individual Scenar treatment session is about 45 minutes to one hour. The frequency of Scenar treatment will depend on the individual circumstances of the client, but treatments should take place at least once or twice a week. The amount of treatment required is individual and can be anything between two and ten sessions.
